REACH Description & Schedule: GVRD is committed to providing recreation opportunities for all of Vallejo. Our THERAPEUTIC RECREATION PROGRAMS were developed to help people with developmental disabilities enjoy a full range of leisure activities. Classes & social events are supervised by GVRD recreation staff members who are certified in CPR & first aid. Staff can assist with enrollment prior to the start of programs. Some REACH classes are held once a week for 7 weeks (separated by a week break), while other *Special Events* are held monthly or annually. Each client is required to have a caregiver on site during every GVRD activity. **You must have a signed waiver in order to participate.**

| REACHercize This program combines stretching, isometric, and low impact aerobics that provide a good all around workout. First we stretch then the cardio excercise is done to music. Join the fun! Meets weekly at the Vallejo Community Center, Cost: $8, no fee for caregivers. Session 1: Jan 4th - Feb 11th Monday 10:15-11:00am Session 2: March 1st - April 16th Monday 10:15-11:00am Session 3: April 26th - June 11th Monday 10:15-11:00am Sports & Games Join the REACH staff for fun and skill building with non-competitive sports and games. Play basketball, frisbee, baseball, and many more. We love to try new sports and games. Class meets weekly on Mondays at the Vallejo Community Center at 225 Amador Street. Cost: $8, no fee for caregivers. Each week we explore a different art or craft project. Come listen to music & express yourself through art. Meets weekly at the Norman C. King South Vallejo Community Center, 545 Magazine St. Session price is for 7 weeks of classes. Cost: $14/session, no fee for caregivers.
